Wall Construction Built for New England’s Freeze-Thaw Climate

Every Gibraltar Pool™ is constructed with insulated aluminum panels engineered for strength and thermal efficiency. Resin and standard plastic pool walls dry out, become brittle, and crack over time, particularly under the freeze-thaw cycling that backyards see every winter. The Gibraltar Pool™ wall system is built to resist warping, bowing, cracking, and corrosion through New England’s full seasonal range, year after year, without refinishing or structural repair. Six U.S. Government patents cover the engineering behind the wall system, so competing manufacturers can’t copy these design decisions.

The Gibraltar Safety View™ Liner

The Gibraltar Safety View™ liner is a 22-mil winterized virgin vinyl liner built with a proprietary patented liner-fit system designed for longer liner life. It’s treated to resist fading from UV rays and degradation from pool chemicals, and it incorporates deterioration-prevention features not found on standard vinyl liners. What truly sets it apart is the liner’s design: the water’s edge is clearly visible from both inside and outside the pool, which can improve your ability to monitor swimmers at a glance.

That standard extends to the entry system: rather than the unstable ladder common on other on-ground pools, the Gibraltar Pool™ features a walk-up staircase that provides a solid, stair-like entry for swimmers of all ages. Heavy-duty stainless steel in-pool ladders are also included. These aren’t optional upgrades. They reflect the same safety-first engineering philosophy that runs through every component of the pool.

The Alum-A-Clad™ Decking System

The proprietary Alum-A-Clad™ patio decking system completely surrounds the pool on all four sides, so you won’t need to build a separate wooden deck to make the pool usable. That’s a meaningful cost and maintenance difference. Other on-ground pool decks are prone to separating from the pool wall over time, leaving unsafe gaps between the deck and the water. The Alum-A-Clad™ system is permanently custom-fitted to the pool wall to help prevent pull-away or shifting.
