Pool Openings

After a New England winter, pools need more than a cover pull and a garden hose. Freeze-thaw cycles stress equipment in ways that aren’t always visible, and spring algae growth can take off quickly once the water warms. We handle full water chemistry balancing at every opening, including super-chlorination shock and algaecide treatment, so your pool can be swim-ready from the first weekend of the season.

Reinstallation of deck equipment (ladders, handrails, lights)
Installation of skimmer baskets and return eyeballs
Priming and starting the pool pump
Lighting the heater pilot, where applicable
Visual inspection of pump, filter, and heater for proper operation
Complete water chemistry check, including chlorine tablets, super-chlorination shock, and algaecide treatment

It’s about air-compressor line blowout, proper skimmer winterization, and draining every piece of heating, pumping, and filtration equipment so there’s no water left to expand and break.

We also apply winter algaecide and mineral control chemicals at closing, which can reduce both chemical load and startup work when spring arrives. Just as importantly, any issues our team identifies at closing can be addressed before the pool is sealed for the season. Catching a failing pump seal in October can cost far less than a mid-June emergency repair.

Blowout of all pool-related water lines using an air compressor, with antifreeze added where needed
Proper winterizing of filter, pumps, heater, chlorinator, and related equipment
